Great write up!

Ah, memories. I'll be back down there in May. I'm staying at Rennaker's this time but I really enjoyed the High Spring Country Inn and of course, Floyd's. Sounds like you got some great training and some fun to boot. Congrats!

Oh, by the way, AJ had Brian and I beat on the overhead thing. I have to say, it is great to be able to continue diving with Brian in the caves, good dive buddies are worth their weight in gold (on land, not underwater).

But AJ is tainted :D

Hey now! What's that supposed to mean?!

Good job on your class, Don!!

Thanks AJ. I think Danny meant you drank the Kool-Aid. :D

Seriously, lay off AJ. :14: He provided lots of useful support for me in my first dives in doubles. I was a huge mess, and he really helped me out!

What I learned in intro to cave...

Buy yourself a pair of fingerless gloves designed for water sports. They are about $20.00 and they will allow full feeling and use of your fnger tips while protecting the palm of your hands and the base of your fingers.

And, when pulling and gliding through high flow systems, use the palm of your hand whenever possible - especially when it is enclosed in a fingerless glove. You will then be able to enjoy cave diving and still provider fingerprints for the next renewal of a security clearance.

Congrats guys, now go do as much diving at this level as you can before progressing to the next level. Be safe and have fun.
