I've got 8 dives on my Apeks Quantum. I've noticed that the depth reading at low depths (i.e., when surfacing) is erratic. When ascending after safety stops, the depth goes from say, 10 fsw, down to 7 or 8 fsw, then down to 0 even though I'm at 5 fsw. A few times, the computer has displayed an ascent speed warning due to this.

Yesterday, I tried to ascend really slowly for the last few feet. I didn't get an ascent warning, but I experienced the same erratic readings. For the first dive, the 15 second depth readings are 13, 11, 10, 8, 7, 7, 0, 5, 0. For the second dive, the readings are 14, 11, 9, 8, 7, 0.

I could give other examples, but you get the idea.

Is this normal?

i know on my computer when im about 4 feet to the surface it stop reading and acts like im out of the water.. i think it just where it stop and starts...
take it into the shop and have them test it for accuracy..
or do what i would do take a nother comp down with u and compare them( the first option being the safer one)
