It is certainly beautiful, but I'm trying to understand what advantage(s) this has over a standard multi-port/manifold distribution bar in what would typically be 1/4" FNPT ports here in the US.

HP fill hoses are readily available in 1/4" MNPT - 1/4" MNPT along with Yoke or DIN Filler-ends with 1/4" FNPT inputs. Gauges also in 1/4" MNPT go right into a port. Al of the ports are at least coplanar so the space requirements should be less.

The one advantage that I do see is you could unscrew the DIN-ported gauge to check a tank, but that is a bit of a stretch.

I must be lacking some imagination here , can you explain a bit more?
