Yep. But I'd want to to be mostly about the diving, not the cute personalities. Lots of UW footage. Some coverage of items of interest on the surface would be fine, have to do something when not diving. But a show that went to places a diver can actually travel to without being rich to do it & had quality dive footage, I'd watch.

Thanks guys.

I watched Deep Sea Detectives a few times, but the show didn't really grab me. Right now, ESPN airs Offshore Adventures & Ocean Hunters, both done by the same people & are centered around free dive spear fishing. I enjoy watching them.

I enjoyed the shows for what they were. I really liked the added history they gave on many shows. The one that really grabbed my interest? The two locomotives standing parallel on the bottom of the ocean.

As for a show on Asia??? I think that would be cool! Especially if they dive with ScubaBoardians! :D

Or the King of SBers...:D

My thoughts are that it is going to be impossible to please everyone, and that one could fill the tube with SuperBabes like Jessica Alba as dive experts, and that would not go over very well either.

Dunno about that. I'd be tuning in every week.

One thing people seem to be missing is that the history channel generally has pretty crappy production values. All the commercials and the endless repetition of the content were put there by television producers.

Chatterton's goofy scissor-kick was all him though...

If you realy want to know what caused the S-5 to sink, and what the Navy did on the wreck, go to this site:

I transcribed the salvage report from some very poor copies that Gary Gentile found in the National Archives back in the late 80's or early 90's. It is quite a good read when you consider what was known about decompression at the time and the fact that all the dives were made in Mark V heavy gear.

Also, look at the internal photo's for the S-4, I got those out of the Sub Museum in Groton CT.

Finaly, get a copy of "On the Bottom" by Edward Elsberg. It is the salvage of the S-51 and will curl your toes whith some of the diving exploits that they did, and lived to tell about.
