Looking to purchase a pair of Eddys for myself. I dive in warm waters 95% of the time but want to buy a pair of fins that I can use for both cold and warm water diving. I'm a US 10.5 shoe size but I wear a pair of US size 11 Aqua Lung 5mm SuperZip Boot under water. What size should I get? I was told to get XL as the spring strap is adjustable but looking at people's comments here it feels like L would fit better?

You will want the size Large Eddie Flipper is my bet. Maybe down size your boots to suit the 95% of the diving you do and look for a pair of used Jet Fins in XL or XXL to accommodate more substantial footwear.

XL Deep 6 Eddy's.: In warm water, I wear a pair of size 11.5 Chuck Taylors as my boat/dive shoes. Diving dry I wear DUI Rock Boots, but the fit is a bit tight. I have size 11 Akona Titanium hard sole boots as backup, but I have to shorten the spring straps to make them work.

Tropical diver here:
I wear size EU 44 / US 10.5-11 and have the XL Deep 6 Eddy. I wear a hard sole bootie. Didn't need to shorten the spring straps adjustments, but did try it and it felt too tight. The pocket is wider than my feet, so out of the water if you wiggle your foot side to side, there is movement, but in the water it feels comfortable and I do not find it moving around while diving. I only frog kick.
In short the only thing I am aware of regarding these fins, er... flippers while in the water is how wgood the propolsion is.

Deep Six should have some foot pockets made up without the blade, just the pocket and nestle the pockets inside one another. They could just mail them out at the customer return cost and upon return allow the postage to be towards ordering your favorite size.

I could use the XL with a hard sole boot but the flipper rocks back and forth side to side which was annoying and rubbed my toes raw. I found a large to work best for me but I do not use hard sole boots, in EU I am size 45. My booties do have a ribbed bottom sole.
