Always a good idea to have tables as a backup. I carry constant PO2 tables in my pocket, and I bailout tables for the big dives. Ya' never know!

I run a meg with a SW GF, a SW hud and an extra copis handset. My deco is run off of a X1 and the GF is a backup to that. Hud and Copis handset are my primary Po2 monitoring.

Would make sense given that the HH CCR has leapfrogged ISC. They (ISC) could not pull it off to keep the lead position and keep innovation going. Why, I do not know, but now it seems that an alliance with SW is probably the best option for both to stay in play. Imagine if HH drops the price to around 8K..................(which is what I would do if SW and ISC join forces).Perhaps they are walking down the isle as we speak? :blessing:

Very, very interesting. Thanks for posting. I do hope this latest iteration of controller/software works better than the original Meg-Shearwater combo. My unit has been working well, but then again I have been switching back and forth amongst rebreather types & OC. 50 hours was the somewhat magical "death" hours for the first combo. BTW - it works very well when it does work!
Hmmm. I think I have to call Leon. I know my original Shearwater will die soon. I forget now how many thousands of dollars that was. Ackkk.

well, there you have it. HH will wait and see how this plays out (uptake) and then drop the price.... competition is good for the consumer. If I were looking for a RB now, I would wait 6 months and then get a good deal.

At this protracted point in time Apecs 3.0 has been something of a non-starter dating some 3.0 years ago. In short, it don't matter no moh'.

I would have to agree. I wouldn't be surprised though if ISC/SRI come out with a version of the Pursuit and call it Apecs 3.0...perhaps even incorporating some of the work that was done on 3.0 but i'm unclear if the 2.7 Pursuit integration even includes a spare ISC handset.
It would seem that the Pursuit may just be the ticket to the CE stamp for the meg- and if that happens, it's hard to imagine it not becoming the stock elecs. then again, how relevant can the CE stamp be anymore if they essentially don't certify manual rebreathers... the group of rebreathers that, for whatever reason, have the lowest fatality rate, while on the other hand certifying the vision, which lacks true redundancy in stock configuration.
more germane to this thread, the announcement includes information about how the design achieves theoretical isolation of electronics that share cells, allowing for back up deco without compromising isolation principles, something my shearwater/HUD Copis Mod. technically lacks (though has not been an issue...yet). this new isloation approach may satisfy the requirements of the isolation camp who currently advocate the use of a 4th cell for back up deco. the very idea of a 4th cell for deco may become obsolete.
