Yay! We are here.
Sat one row behind Dan on the plane.
Shuttle to Suites Bahia was easy, $10.40 for two of us. They exchanged at 11:1, not great but better than taxis. Oddly we got 4 pesos as changed. No idea where that came from, might as well have just called it 11.
Went to Mega for an ATM and bottled water. The exchange rate we got was about 13.9. $54.30 pesos in various ATM fees.
Six 1.5 liters was $46.40 They wouldn't break a 500 which is annoying since that is most of what the ATM spit out.
Rock n java for lunch.
$70 yucatecan roll. Didn't care for it. Nori was very fishy and I didn't like the mayo.
We each got a small noodle bowl for $88. These were so good but tons of food. We could have shared one and had leftovers. Mega is being renovated and the construction noise was so loud we took the food back to our hotel.
INitial impression of suites bahia is good. We can see some ocean from our Pizza Hut view room, which is nice. And there is free wifi.

Suites Bahia doesn't supply bottled water, or you just wanted the 1.5 liter jugs? Odd size.

We didn't see water in the room so we went and bought some. That was just the size the mega had if you didn't want really large (hard to transport) or individual size (too much plastic waste for me)

Hotels typically use 5 gallons jugs on dispensers from which you can refill your bottles. I pack my own pint & quart bottles to fill there, maybe one 2 quart bottle. If there is space, I often grab a 5 gallon for my room and tip carefully to fill my own jugs.
Too much for most: I like taking a steel vacuum bottle and taking coffee onto the boats, which I make in a cheap coffee maker from Mega. I do pack filters and coffee. In hot weather, I've been known to make kool-aid to carry. :silly:
