I think the two hotels are very far apart though. Not been to cozumel before beyond diving off a ship so not sure

You are about as far south as you can get. I stayed at Iberostar maybe 13 years ago in the summer of 2011 so I didn't mind it because of the heat. On the bright side you are really close to the southern reefs, so a really short boat ride. Hope you have a great time for your first time staying on the island. I have been there close to 200 times over the last 34 years.

My 14 year old's second Cozumel dive trip. First time staying in a condo with the kids, usually we stay at Cozumel Palace but they are booked that week. No pina coladas and quesadillas on demand like at an AI but they will survive!
