Haute-Savoie | Un plongeur se noie dans le lac Léman

One diver is reported dead on the French side of Lake Geneva.
I know that this person usually dives a rebreather but I have no direct knowledge of this incident beyond the media report which very briefly states the location of the dive: Meillerie (a known deep dive in the lake which can reach technical diving depths) and the fact that the buddy alerted the authorities.

The article I just read says that his buddy surfaced fast to get help, so I hope he is ok too. Apparently they had a problem at around 110m but hard to say that isn't just speculation from the press. I live across the lake almost directly opposite Meillerie, I can see it from my deck...
