fred: sounds like a deal. name the day.

BWD: will definetely let you know when Fred and i will be rolling in. look forward to hooking up with you.

I'm going to try to make Daytona this year, especially if I can get someone to make the trek up there with me... Probably no chance of finding anyone in the Keys, but maybe there's an SBer in Dade or Broward that I can meet up with?

well... this is a brief one, but basically, Fred and I managed to hook up and
hit Daytona this Saturday. All told, there were six bikes and 8 people in our
group, we met up in Palatka and then Fred joined us in Bunnell.

Once we got to Daytona, we all split up. Fred and I hung out together, b.s'd,
that sort of thing.

basically, there were a lot of bikes, a lot of people, and a lot of noise. the ride in,
hanging out with Fred, and the ride out were the best parts :D

i did manage to get some pics from the Orange County Choppers display. Fred
and I saw Mikey leaving just as we arrived. Then, later, we saw Vinnie and Mike
signing autographs.

Here are some pics:

1. The Lance Armstrong Bike

2. The Guys

3. Vinnie

4. The NY Fire Department Bike. the "rusted" thing mounted on the polished surface
is an actual piece taken from the World Trade Center.

5. The fender from the NY Fire Department Bike. The number 343 is the actual
number of firemen who died on 9-11

Glad you had fun, glad its over and hopefully the roads will clear a bit again. You would not know how annoying a train of 50+ bikes, in the middle lane for a 1/4 mile or more, is to overtake.

I enjoyed the day with you guys.
I got home around 7:30. Traffic sucked. 3.5 hours was a long ride with my shoulder.
But it was worth it to meet new freinds and hang out with Andy for the day.
I didn't even get GRUMPY all day. I think that only happens when Simons around :)
Looking forward to the next time Andy.
