Had a great day of diving with friends who came up from Oregon to charter a day of diving through Bandito Charters in Tacoma and on their boat the Sampan.
First dive was at Saltwater State Park where we had about 30 feet of visibility. Second dive was at KVI Towers where we had over 50 feet of visibility and a great encounter with a Giant Pacific Octopus. Third dive was to be under the Tacoma Narrows bridge, but the current was just ripping too fast, so we motored down to Z's Reef on the north end of Fox Island. Z's is a wonderful dive site just full of crabs, Octos, huge Lingcod and some very large Wolf Eels. Here are a couple pics and a link to a video I put together. Water temp was a consistent 55 degrees at all dive sites.
