Hey Amanda-

Next time you feel bad about the misspellings, read some of my posts (nd I grew up speaking English!). Seriously, honey, dont sweat it! :D

Thanks Big T...

The only episode of the Simpsons I saw was on the Internet, it was about Homer, after having been intelligent for a while, who recovered "stupidness "after a while. Then Lisa tells him - "But Dad, we were interacting in such a meaningful way !" And Homer replies - "We were what what in a what what ???"

...where Bart and Lisa are staying at the Flanders for whatever reason and Rod and Todd (the two Flanders kids) are playing a Christian video game. The game is something like "convert the heretics" and you go around converting heathens to Christianity.

Anyway, Rod (or Todd) zaps one of the infidels and says, "Got Him" and the other kid goes, "No you didn't..you only winged him and made him a Unitarian.."

This is probably really sad...but here goes...

Amanda...you are referring to the episode that aired 2 seasons ago when Homer found he had a crayon stuck in his brain. It stemmed from an incident as a child when he was trying to shove an entire box of crayons up his nose. when he sneezed, he thought they all came back out, but they didn't. Homer was x-rayed b/c of a lack of intelligence level when experts were testing a new dieting pill. Homer has had many x-rays of his head before, but Dr. Hibberd never saw the crayon b/c his thumb always covered it up on the x-ray. The removed the crayon, and homer's I.Q. rose to 105....he went to the library with Lisa and was thrown out of his bar. Homer decided to go back to his stupidity by having an un-licensed surgeon (Moe) re-insert the crayon.....the episode ends with the line you described from Lisa.

O-ring....you are referring to the episode when homer and Marge were labelled as bad parents b/c they left Grandpa in charge of the house one afternoon while they went and enjoyed the spa-package homer acquired. While they were out, the house went to hell in a hand basket and child services placed the children with the Flander's. The episode ends with the Ned trying to baptize the kids becuase he finds out that Homer and Marge never had that done. Homer dives after Bart and "takes a baptism" becuase he doesn't want his son to be a Flanders in God's eyes.

I need a life

Amanda once bubbled...

Yep.
Ouch...that one hurt, eh Big-t? Nothing wrong with being a Simpsons expert...that show has some of the most original comedic commentary on modern social mores that I have seen. Far wittier than most of the tripe masquerading as comedy on TV today...

Have you ever checked out any of Mitch Hedberg's stand-up stuff? He is a riot...I have 2 tickets to see him in April at the DC improv (and no date yet..). Maybe I will take chickdiver or Amanda if they can get up this way

raxafarian once bubbled...
Well Amanda... I don't think we can auction dates with you.

BUT.... we can auction some videotapes of your swimming pool antics.

Do you have any... or will you have to make some?
Those tapes are for our own private enjoyment only! We would, however, be happy to make more...LOTS more...

My name is Big-T and I'm a simpsons addict....
