I'm planning on Diving Dania Beach this Friday for the first time and was hoping for some advice / tips for a good dive.

High Tide is 1240pm (Hollywood Beach, West Lake, north end NOAA Tide Chart).

My plan is to dive Eurojacks for the 1st dive and the Seatech ledges and Rockpile for the 2nd dive. (Any suggestions for a 3rd dive if I have time?)

I could really use some advice on finding these sites (especially the Seatech ledges and Rockpile) and any advice on diving with the tides, local currents etc.

Any and all advice will be much appreciated!

The best advice I can give you for Dania Beach is, park in the south end of the public beach parking lot. There is a sign that says dive area on the beach, swim out and keep the centerline of the condo lined up. When you get about 3/4 of a pier length out, you can submerge, this is the rubble reef, you will see the color change from the sand. There's some nooks and crannies to explore on the back of it but I wouldn't bother. You will want to go due east, the first reef line is about a pier length and a half offshore. The depth will around 20 ft.

Be careful of the boats and use a big flag, not the little hanky minimum requirement one. They use the color change of the reef lines as a north south navigation highway.

It's erojacks, they were put there as an experiment to control beach erosion.

Thanks for the advice Dennis,

NOAA is showing East winds with 1-2 ft seas for Friday. I know up in Stuart that would make beach diving not the greatest. Is Dania affected as much or should it still be worth the dive?

EROJACKS makes a lot more sense to me! Thanks!

Thanks for the link, it's looking great today so hopefully it will be the same Friday!
