So I am not sure if I should get insurance or not later down the road, I understand that OHIP doesn't cover a re-compression chamber if I heard correctly.

How many of you guys dive with DAN insurance? are the payments monthly or annually?

Any advice would be awesome.

I have Dan insurance, it's a annual fee. Go to the website to check it out. This is an expensive sport with lots of toys. I consider my insurance as a necessity like my car insurance. It's annoying to pay but if you need it...

I have Dan insurance, and wouldn't dive without it. My payment occurs yearly when I renew my membership.I hope that you get it, but never need to use it. When I needed it, it helped.

So is that 40 dollars a month then for the package or 40 annually, as I won't be diving all year round I will only buy the time I need.

I wish they were open so I could ask them right now, I go on a trip next week and I am thinking of grabbing it just in case. lol the list of things to do is piling up

It's annual, plus your annual membership fee.

Well that is really reasonable for what you get!

lol have any of you guys seen the movie "Everest"? How much do you think that emergency evac cost? Better of had insurance with that trip.

I have the Guardian plan because it covers home country medical evacuation. $160 per year is a pretty cheap piece of mind. My life insurance company charges me $40 a month extra on top of my regular premium to cover me if I want to dive.

Hey Slym, confirm that it doesn't cover any incidents within 500 km of your home, that could be a factor for you.
