A shop near me offers this course for $100. I was originally looking at their dive rescue course, but noticed that it counts as an advanced dive rescue course if you also have the O2 provider course under your belt.

I'm wondering if there would be any point for someone like me who is just a regular diver looking to go tech to take the O2 provider course or be advanced dive rescue certified instead of just dive rescue certified. I believe the rescue course is a NAUI course, at least my Nitrox course was at this shop, though it's not specifically stated on their site.

Who needs advanced rescue or O2 provider certification? Are they of any use for tech diving?

Edit: Changed title and last sentence. Mods, if you notice this please move it to the tech dive section.

I just took combo DAN O2 probider + EFR for around $60 + materials. Well worth it in my opinion.
