Hi

One of our o2 tanks is leaking from the neck.
I just wanted to check before opening it up and changing the oring if any one know the type of oring it takes.

I've been told it's a special oring you have to order from Dan but that seems a bit odd.

Any help appreciated

It's a teflon oring - probably size 210 (AS568-210) (for a CGA 870 valve) or 216 (for a CGA 540 valve).

The following guide might be helpful for you.

Recommended Steps To Be Included in a Procedure for Removal and Insertion of Valves in Medical Oxygen Cylinders - Catalina Cylinders

You can order bulk PTFE (teflon) orings from a variety of suppliers (TAS-210 | AS568-210 PTFE O-ring, Virgin PTFE o-rings) Dan may have a competitive price for a small valume order.

But be sure you know what your are doing... Servicing gear that is used in oxygen service needs to be done correctly - or it tends to end poorly. If I opened the cylinder (after draining it) - I would probably take the time to make sure the cylinder and valve were both cleaned for oxygen service.

Regards,
