SoCal has had a similar run recently the Angels won the World Series in 2002, the Ducks were in the Stanley Cup finals in 2003 and I don't care what anyone in Oklahoma thinks after getting smashed by Kansas teh Sooners did not deserve to be in the National Championship game USC got a share of the Football National Championship.

In the LA area we have not had a professional football team lose in 5 or 6 years. The Chargers don't count they haven't been very professional lately.

Exactly. Not only that, but here in Hotlanta they even give out pamplets called Hockey 101 that supposedly explains all about hockey.

I am a die hard Oilers fan but have even taken to cheering on the Flames play off run. My 7 year old Daughter who was born in Calgary has a hissy fit when I tell her she is only allowed to cheer for Edmonton and no one else. While watching the game last night I started up with a Bolts chant and really PO'd her. But in seriousness I hope the Flames do it, if they do it's going to 7 games.

How scary is that? I mean, puck has a hard enough time attracting new fans... Can you imagine if / when the season gets scratched? Please.

Although I hope it don't happen, There's lots of college hockey out there and it usually is more exciting than the pro hockey. I'm sure it's the same for junior hockey in Canada. They need us a lot more than we need them. Seems that the playoffs are the only time to watch any pro sports.

My prediction for tonight- Lightning tie the series with a 4-2 victory over the Flames.

My prediction for next year- The Minnesota Gophers return to their place on top of the NCAA. :dazzler1:

A good game! I think it's goin back and forth with Calgary takin it in 7 or may be the Bolts in 7. Yah the Bolts. Nah, Calgary. It's good hockey, just wish the oilers were there The one good thing about Calgary being there is the parties every game night. Has anyone heard of a site called flames girls?
