Yeah, that one's been around for a while :lol2:

Sorry, but I'm a purist. I believe that although hockey may be played on artificial ice (read: indoor ice rinks) it should not be played where ice does not naturally occur. Downright sacreligious, otherwise!

Take care, eh?!

In other words, nowhere below the Mason-Dixon Line?

As a season ticket holder for the Hurricanes - I seen Tampa Bay too many times this year - They are the real deal.

We greatly miss Marty Gelinas here and wish him the best in the finals. However, we gotta pull for the SouthernBeast Conference... Go Bolts !

AND YES any one but the Leafies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooooooo..what is it with FL and sports domination the last few years. Football superbowl champs, an unending string of College Bowl champs, World Series champs, and now in the hunt for Lord Stanley's big shiny cup! (grin) OK..that sounds odd.. ANYWAY! The point here being, that there is something about this state that seems to keep churning out "championship" teams.

Great for me, I love my college football saturdays, and hockey nights (even ECHL) and NASCAR Sundays that are now all screwed up and on saturday nights and obscure channels.. but that has to be rough on ya'll some where else where its like "here comes Tampa again.. " or "FSU/UF/Miami is coming to town.. get the consolation kegs" and so on. Its even rougher on people who live here but aren't into sports anything. You can't turn around without seeing a team logo of some sort :D

Funny thing, 2 years ago the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl. Last year the Tampa Bay Storm won the Arena Bowl. This year the Tampa Bay Lightning are playing in the Stanley Cup. If they win (which everyone but the Canadians knows will happen), Tampa will have won 3 championships in 3 years. The only thing remaining is for ole Lou to get the D-Rays off their hineys and win the World Series next year. :eyebrow:

I know. You have no idea how strange it was to go my first game down here wearing shorts. :D

Exactly. Not only that, but here in Hotlanta they even give out pamplets called Hockey 101 that supposedly explains all about hockey.

Sheesh! :e18:
