I know there are posts about Dacor but all that I see are 10 years old (or more). So I will ask, does anyone know where I can get a manual, parts list, basically any info on the Dacor Pacer XLP 2nd stage. Nothing I have found breathes better. If I can get the book on it, I can keep it working.
Many thanks!!!!!!!

It was my go to in the 90s. I still have it. Used it on a long hose primary on a cyclone 1st stage. It was awesome

The DACOR Pacers were very good, well engineered regulators. I had one in the 1980s and sold it to a good friend who was looking for reliable travel equipment. Still miss my Pacer.

I think I have some Pacer information on my upstairs computer (I’m on my iPad right now). If so, I’ll post what I can.

I have been using Dacor equipment for a long time, have their Double Hose regulators (R-2, R-3 and R-4/Clipper), along with my Pacer and several more up-to-date Dacor regulators, that I still dive.

Go on-line and don’t forget date and model. I have a manual on my 650 and it helps. Parts are not easy to find but I have a few rebuild kits. I need to see exactly what I have. Phragms are not easy to find but some will cross reference to some Mares models but Mares won’t sell unless you have Mares technician number. I had to do a lot of searching in my spare time to find these. Please excuse me if I don’t respond quickly. I work full time and I just got out of the hospital after recovering from Sepsis ( not fun, actually deadly but I am OK now ) . Try VDH ( vintage Double Hose) archives. That may be just what you need.

I took a loot at E-Bay, and there are a number of Dacor Pacer regulators out there, including yours. One thing about both piston and diaphragm regulators is that the seat doesn’t wear with age, as there is no pressure on it. That means that if a Dacor Pacer regulator was put out to pasture 30 years ago, and unused, the diaphragm and the seat will have no wear since it was put to rest. Therefore, if you want some parts, pick up a used E-Bay Pacer and use it for spare parts.
