Can some one tell me what the differance is between the Suunto D6 and the D9?

the D9 is an Air Integrated (AI) computer and it has 3 gas mixes (the D6 has 2)

i am sure there are other differences, but those are the big ones

Yeah, and the D6 is non-integrated (in case that wasn't clear)

D6 is steel while the D9 is titanium.

Cheers.

From the Suunto Comparison specs and manual:

What the D9 has over the D6:
  • Wireless Air Integration
  • Maximum Depth Display = 199meters (vs 150meters)
  • Handles up to 3 gasses 21%-99% (vs 2 gasses for the D6)
  • Water Resistant to 200 meters (vs 150)
  • Diameter same: 1.97", thickness:0.67"(vs 0.61") weight 3.88oz (vs 3.98 oz)
  • Relative Price difference (on LeisurePro.com) $300 more without optional remote transmitter
As was said before, these two computers are almost identical except for the wireless air integration. For that you'll pay a premium.

It looks like its just air integration (the d6 is not).
Maximum depth display is greater for the D9.
2 gas seting for D6 3 Gas setting for D9
and Water resistance rating. 150m for D6 200m for D9.

I'd say for a sport diver the question is do you want hoseless AI then opt for the D9
otherwise the D6 is the chioce.
