I just don't log dives
I have acquired a lot of about 15 - 17 cylinders.

All are steel - either Faber or PST. All have valves, and have a bit of gas in them

NEARLY ALL HAVE RECENT (summer) HYDROS AND VIZ!!!

All have current hydro - passed and stamped with June or July 2010 hydros (except the PST 95). All have current viz stickers, and all are fillable and diveable right now!

Some of these were from a rental fleet, some were personally owned cylinders. Whatever - they're hydro'ed and vized.

I'll post more info and pics as I go through the pile. All quantities one unless otherwise noted. Here's what I know is there:

  • Faber (XS Scuba) LP95. White, Faber boot, Pro-k convertable DIN Valve. Hyd: 6/10 $250

  • Faber LP95. White, Faber boot. Yoke Valve. Hyd: 6/10 $225

  • PST LP95. Galv. Yoke valve. Hyd: 4/08 Current Viz. $250

  • Faber (Scubapro) LP95. Heavy blue paint (from rental fleet.) Yoke valve. Hyd: 7/10 $200

  • Steel 72's. I have about 9 of these. Various colors and finishes. All with Yoke valves, all with June or July 2010 Hydro's and Viz. $75 each!

All prices are cash prices, pick up in SoCal. I can deliver to Santa Monica week nights, or to the South Bay on weekends. Pick up in Marina del Rey / LAX area.

As always, the more you buy, the more you save. Get two or 3 cylinders and I'll discount ya, for sure.

NO PAY PAL - I'm not shipping these yet.

PM with questions.

Thanks

-Ken

Would love to get another HP120 to resume my deep diving, but alas you only have the higher capacity LPs which I've never seen much sense in... especially as I "mature" in years. Know those techies love them, but they don't make much sense to me, Ken. But what do I know about diving... I'm just an ordinary dive bum and marine biologist!

I am interested in one of your LP95's. I am new to diving and I know the name Faber, but who is PST? I looked up the specs on the tanks and it showed the PST was a little heavier and would be ~-1 empty. The Faber would be neutral. So other than brand the buoyancy the difference appears to be the convertable DIN vs standard yoke. My question then is which tank would be suitable to my present diving mostly shore and boat dives between 40 - 80 feet?

It depends on how much weight you currently wear. The PST cylinder will allow you to take more weight off your belt. Other than that, there's really no difference between the cylinders when it comes to single cylinder recreational diving.

I sent a PM as well
