Dove today with Living Underwater. First dive on Punta Sur. Very strong current made for some interesting vertical currents around the big coral heads. Water temps in the mid 80's. Very warm. Second dive on Cedral. Again pretty strong current (not unusual for this site). Again very warm water temp.

Attempted to hit the top end of Punta Sur but the visabiliy appeared to be very poor so we switched to Columbia Deep, visabiliy was better but still about 80 - 100 ft, currents variable and all over the place towards the end went towards the inner mounds and ended up going South for a while and then back North.
Second dive did the top end of the Gardens and visabiliy was better but still a lot of suspend particulates. Currents light but generally in the proper direction. Several Sea horses and pipe horses were spotted.
Third dive was San Francisco wall and the current was moderate but nothing excessive.
Forth dive was Torrmentos, current was mild.
At every site both my computers were showing a steady 86F and the visabiliy was less than usual. Suspect a lot of outflow from the lagoon and the main channel current is not washing the reef like normal.
All and all was still a great day of diving and beats the hell out of going to work. 3 less Lion Fish in existence, more misses, need to work on accuracy.

Dove Sunday and Monday, weather system passed over and caused intermittent heavy rains topside and a little chop and swell on Monday. Dive conditions were very nice, lower overhead light due to clouds but easy currents and great visibility. With cooler water coming up and over the wall the visibility was greatly improved at 250’+. Logged water temps as low as 81-82F and could see it shimmering as it flowed over the wall. Most areas were 83-84F, from Palancar to Villa Blanca. Edgar (3P) pointed out a Batfish on Sunday.

Looks like a TS (probably named Nate) will form today down near Costa Rica and pass to the east on Friday. Looks like a fast mover and hopefully it will cause minimal effects to diving this week end.

I just got back from a week at SCC. Diving was done every day. Friday was TS Nate, and we were done diving so the port closure for the day didn't affect us. I will be doing a trip report with tons of photos and videos later in the week. Busy now just downloading everything and doing laundry.
