My wife and I spent a week on Bonaire and a week on Curacao back in 2003 for out honeymoon. I really thought the diving was pretty much equal between the two. Like others have said, don't count on seeing anything large but there is a chance you will. The seas were slightly rougher in Curacao but my wife didn't get sick and she is pretty sensitive to that sort of thing. The only thing I didn't like about Curacao was the city. On Bonaire we felt safe everywhere on the island. We didn't have any issues on Curacao but I just didn't get the same warm and fuzzy feeling there.
