I think the diving in Curacao is very worthwhile, especially if you are going there anyway. It may not be in the same league as some places in Indonesia, but I don't think I have ever heard anyone say diving Curacao is not worth it. I have been there many times, most recently in April, 2024, and certainly look forward to my next visit. From my perspective, it is still one of the best dive locations in the Caribbean with excellent diving, very nice beaches, and more than adequate nightlife and good food.
Thanks everyone for your posts

Seen lots of different opinions on Curacao - getting a bit picky on spending money on just OK diving. I have dived in Indonesia and other
great locations. We will be in Curacao for others reasons but want to know if we should go early to dive?? I need up to date info since
the reefs change so quickly. I have about 200 dives under my belt so not a beginner. Love pretty fish, nudibranch, and good colors. Any up to date
people who have dived there recently (not years ago) like in the last 4 or 5 months. appreciate it
So we have done two dives this week and lots of snorkeling and there are very few colors here in Curacao, which is fine with me because we are very inexperienced working on getting more comfortable in our 60s and the diving here is easier and gentler than many places. But you sound very experienced so I think you would be disappointed, especially compared to what I read about Indonesia.

Experienced divers are likely going to understand that you can’t really compare anything in the Caribbean to the best that Indonesia has to offer. But, the Caribbean is in our backyard!

I stopped by Curacao on the way to Bonaire - primarily due to direct flights to Curacao from Miami and a quick hop to Bonaire.

I liked Curacao and found it worthwhile for 2.5 days, primarily for shore and some boat diving. I stayed at the Scuba Lodge - a great historic building in Willemsted. Did some nice diving at House Reef and NW Point area and a boat day to Klein Curacao.

Overall, it's a nice add-on to a 5-day trip to Bonaire, but I would not take a dive-specific trip there. Again, the island is very arid (like all ABC islands), beaches are coral coves, Willemsted is interesting, and some resorts are on the SE part of the island. It's much cheaper than most Caribbean destinations.

I prefer Little Cayman, Bonaire, Dominica, Saba, and Roatan for Caribbean diving.

FTFY!
