My wife and I recently stayed at Lodge Kura Hulanda. She doesn't dive, but I did 10 dives with Ocean Encounters West. I thought the Dive Op was excellent and the house reef (Kalki) was awesome. I did several Kalki dives, including night. I loved being able to keep my gear at the shop and dive Kalki whenever I wanted. We stayed in a "Lodge Garden View One Bedroom Suite" and it was one of the nicest places we've ever been. The amazing thing was - LKH is much more upscale than our normal vacation spots, but it really didn't end up costing much more. The Lodge and OEW staff were always attentive and helpful.

Was hoping to see some reviews of Lions Dive. We'll be there Aug 13-20. Only good reviews, please:blinking:

My wife and I stayed at Lodge Kura Hulanda and dived with OEW last November. Great hotel, great dive operator, great vacation. We did stay at LKH on a "deal", it was not terribly expensive.

Best, Craig

Chalk up another vote for LKH. We will be making our 3rd trip there in September. The Garden View One Bedroom Suites are awesome. And we really enjoy OEW and diving the house reef.

I stayed at and got my OW cert at Scuba Lodge, which is an easy walk to town. I loved it, but it seems that they have new management. However, TripAdvisor has excellent reviews, so the new owners may be continuing with the excellent service that the previous owners had.

Has anyone stayed at a good dive resort in Curacao that was within walking distance to town?
Lions Dive is five minutes by car from downtown - Curacao Hotel - Our Location - Lions Dive & Beach Resort

The main Ocean Encounters shop is literally next door - there's a boardwalk between the two properties.

They do the Dolphin Dive from there also as the Seaquarium is next to it.
