Everyone please feel free to add their reports to this is you want~!
Saw Alan (TexDiveGuy) there at the entrance, was GREAT seeing him up and about!!
Got to meet Timeliner...it pays to wear your Swamp Divers T-shirt, you get to meet folks here on the board!
First dive about 45 minutes, visited the plane since it'd been so long, viz was great, about 20 feet, surface temp was like a warm bath, in the 80's; went down (and stayed for a bit) to 39 feet where it was a comfy 64 degrees.
Second dive about 40 minutes, went across the pond from the plane and hugged the wall for a while; on the way around and back to the pontoon dock I ran into a sunfish nesting area; I literally had one bigger than my outstretched hand come up and head-butt me in the mask......so I paused and waited to see what he was gonna do, he paused too. I thought "picture time" so I slowly reached for my camera and I guess he's shy, he saw that and took off, but I got him as he was backing away.
Surface tempo when I left at 1pm, 98 degrees already.
Thermocline was spooky between 22-25 feet.....see link to today's pix below.
Good day all in all!

Thanks for posting your pics, TXscubabear. I haven't been out there since May and am long overdue :)

Well now, that's TOO long!!

Harry is was great seeing you again!!!!

All I can say about today it was SO MUCH FUN....seeing old and meeting new friends. And most of all pulling off 2 great incident free dives was the highlight for me! Special thanks to Timeliner/Frank going as my wingman/safety diver---thanks dude!

Everyone was so cheerful and full of good spirit.....a day to remember!!!

Much more scuba ahead for me!!

Alan :D

Nice to meet you today TXScubaBear ! The Swamper shirts are a good thing to wear for sure.

Nice pics, looks like it was great viz out there! I really wish i could have gone!

It was a wonderfully cool day out in Terrell. Unfortunately, you had to get down below 25' to experience it. The surface is almost too hot for a 3mm full suit and the summer is just getting started. :shakehead:

Enjoyed being a part of my friend Andrew's first post-certification outing and the launching of the Alan II. Now Alan just spent the last six months in recovery after getting the cr*p kicked out of him by a truck, but was he out there with a wimpy AL80? H*LL NO! Not Alan. Alan rigged up with his doubles and headed out. He said he had some things to work on afterwards but you sure couldn't tell it from watching him. He looks like he took a couple of weeks off, not a half a year. Somehow the world seems right again with him in the water.

Dive 1:
Frank, Alan, Andrew and I head north along the wall. Frank and Alan turn back at about 15 minutes. Andrew and I kick across to the flats and head back south. We saw a goodly sized collection of bluegill nests and a very large bass hanging out looking for an easy meal. I guess she didn't get that big by having good manners and waiting for the food to come to her. :D Dive time 57 Minutes, 28' max depth.

Dive 2:
Texass (great meeting you!), Andrew and I head south to explore the shark. We do a couple of laps and then swim around the surrounding boulder field and head back to the ladder. Dive time 47 minutes, 25' max. depth.

Zzzking can carry 270 cubic feet of Gas now ! ( or something like that) how will I ever skip breath enough to keep up with him when all I dive with is a AL 80 & a Pony :shakehead:

I guess we'll have to go where it's too FNcold and just chill out till he caves in :crafty:

Then again ... that ploy is proving less and less affective with him as time goes by.
