We'll be coming to La Romana as a cruise ship (Carnival Freedom) port stop on Aug. 27, 9am-5pm. I understand it's a 15min cab ride to Bayahibe. I'm the only diver (AOW). My wife and her mom might do some snorkeling (with their own gears) and/or just enjoy beach or land tour/shopping.

What dive shops might be able to cater to cruiser diving, as we get off at the earliest 9am, then by the time we get to Bayahibe it might be 9:30-10am.

Are the boat rides and dive sites also suitable for my wife and her mom to come for snorkeling? Her mom is old (85, but healthy, active and mobile)

Thanks.

We had a great experience with Scuba Fun in Bayahibe in January this year. The owner, John, and his staff are great and will accommodate all of your needs. There is a great wreck in about 120' of water if you are comfortable at that depth. Our DM was Igor and you couldn't ask for a better one. Tell them Rich from Phoenix says hi!
