So far the head was split in half and stretched out 1". The front of the mouth was cut off and re-attached giving another 1" of room. The sides of the face cut out and a dive mask inserted. Much work to be done on this thing to get it back into shape...

New back piece :)

Any idea what it will weight in the water?

Any idea what it will weight in the water?

The prototype suit by itself should be about 5lbs based off the known weight of the material in saltwater. That can be changed with + or - a bit of neoprene and thinner parts with foam backing in inconspicuous locations. I should be able to get the final version to the target weight of 35lbs. I was just a bit heavy handed with the urethane while applying it. I am also shooting for 8-12lbs of positive buoyancy before demonstrating this suit requiring the use of some ditchable weight for safety reasons :)

Don't know how I stumbled in to this thread but I am completely amazed! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! :)

If there's anyone who maybe be in the palm beach area this april and might consider helping me with testing this suit please shoot me a PM. Thanks!

I'll be in Orlando at the end of March and planning a day trip to Jupiter or BHB... I'll pm you for specifics, though.

I know I said hands and head next but the legs were calling me... Hands and head will be worked on in between and I will start reworking the feet soon. I have abandoned the idea of using fins as an armature and started working from scratch on the feet. Here is the current leg photo.
