Fellow non-christians.. you guys need to understand the definition of "Circular Reasoning" and then you will understand why 100 pages later this thread is nowhere. you are not going to convince a Christian of anything.. they were raised this way from birth.

First, this thread is about evolution theory versus creation. Secondly I'm a physicist not a biologist, the theories are not mine. But I am versed in the scientific method. Thirdly, you creationists always talk about the theory of evolution being wrong therefore evolution doesnt take place. Creationists conveniently ignore that this theory, like any other theory, attempts to find a logical explanation for observed phenomena, that evolution takes place is fact.

You guys have already been proven wrong by the scientific community, every time creationists come up with some pseudo scientific claptrap to disprove evolution theory it can be easily dismissed for lack of any real logical arguments, the 'explanation' being in total contradiction with observed facts, selective observations, applying statistics where statistics cant be applied etc etc etc. You guys have already been presented with the evidence and you choose to ignore it while offering no alternative explanation, because for some obscure reason creationists can't handle reality.

The only "observed" evolution is within species evolution, or microevolution. Macro evolution still has giant gaps in the fossil record that requrie huge leaps of faith to believe. Please bring forth any "evidence" I might not be privvy to. Ultimately science can never "prove" the random formation of life and can only theorize how it started. Even the simplest life contains 1000s of protein molecules and, formaldehyde experiments aside, the odds of one protein molecule forming in nature and combining are so small the word impossible comes to mind.

My dad is atheist, my mom agnostic. I formed my opinions on origin after a lot of thought and study. You can imagine we don't discuss religion much at family gatherings..hehe.

Bloody hell, can't you read? There are literally dozens of very detailed examples in this thread about why your statement is just plain incorrect. Start from the beginning and don't post again until you've gone and educated yourself.

Yes..sorry to have joined this topic so late. I could read all 480 posts on the subject but I doubt there's any "education" behind most of them. If you have one in mind, please link it and I'll be happy to read through the few pages or so. BTW, there's no reason to get rude and I didn't think it was scubaboard protocol to read every post before offering up an opinion as the the original post.

The issue is that your misinformed point is typical creationist BS and is patently FALSE and that has been shown over and over and over and over again in this thread. Read posts by Thalassamania and Warthaug.
