Greeets, Been a long time since I have posted. Good to see y'all again.

Anyway, here is my question:

I am in for the long haul with my SCUBA instruction. Hope to some day make Instructor. Currently planning on taking the PADI route (Good and bad parts all).

Next course for me is the Rescue Diver course. I was currious if they would still try to make me take the CPR portion of this course if I am already certified CPR through the local Volunteer Ambulance Corps?

What about higher levels of EMT training?

Thanks

ST

I believe the standards say "recognized agency" for the CPR training, and it has to be current.

Higher level EMT type training would be a benefit to anyone you should have to help, but it is not required or strickly necessary.

Whether you go further or not, the rescue class is a good thing to do. Have fun

Phil

If you have taken CPR and First Aid in the last 2 years from the Red Cross or some other agency it will meet the requirments for the PADI Rescue Course. If it's been longer than 2 years you will need to renew it.
