I am leaving for Playa del Carmen/Cozumel on Wednesday. The weather says showers and possible rain all week. Will that mess with the visiability once I get to Cozumel on Sunday? I live in California and dive Monterey and Ft Bragg where if it rains, the viz is crap. This will be my first warm water dive... SO EXCITED!

I am sure this post will get moved to the Cozumel forum. Anyway, I have been diving in Cozumel when it has just rained, when it is raining, etc. and have never noticed a drop off in vis. Good luck and don't waste time worrying about the weather.

I'll second that. I've been diving in Cozumel during heavy downpours and still enjoyed awesome visibility. Shore dives might be a different story, I don't know.
