Cozumel from Cancun in 1 day?

Staying at the Westin in Cancun. Is it feasible to get from Cancun to Cozumel, dive, and return in the same day? If so, does anyone have any recommendations for how to pull this off? Do any operators provide transportation as part of a dive package?

In the perfect world, we'd be able to do a 1 day Coz trip and a 1 day cenote trip. Again, any operators that can pull this off?

If you have a rental car, it's doable, but it would be a very long day. You'd need to drive to PDC, find a place to park, schlep gear (assuming you brought gear) to the ferry and do the half hour on the ferry, and then meet a dive op at the main dock. It's about an hour's drive to PDC from the Cancun airport, so you're talking between three and four hours travel time, outside of the diving. Most dive ops on Coz do two dives and come back in the early afternoon, so you'd have time to get back across and drive back during daylight. Doing this with public transportation would also be possible, but an even longer day.

I believe there are some operators who come up to Cancun (or who are based in Cancun) and will drive you down to the cenotes. You might do a search on cenotes to see what comes up.

we can do both of the above, coz and cen but don't forget Cancun, we just did the c 58 with over 25 eagle rays and the 50ft reef was full of life too!
Why spend 12 hrs and $160 for 1.5hr bottom time? If your in Cancun dive Cancun!
