I was there in 1989 (if it matters now) and it was as it normally is. Divers, divers, and more divers. These days there are the cruise ships and people that ferry over from Playa for the day. So, I think if diving is your gig it would be a great time to go. If your looking for spring brak party goers I'd head to Playa, Cancun, etc

We've been at Spring Break four years in a row now and it's a little busier than usual but no big deal. Cozumel isn't really a Spring Break destination like Cancun.

The college kids are finding Cozumel more affordable then other places. It has seemed to pick up the last 2 years, But still pretty tolerable. I have found the kids are not really there to dive, but just more of a break.

Been going over spring break for the last 6-7 years (lost track). The diving isn't any different and they don't run out of cerveza :) Really don't go to town much anymore, too many cruise ships. Ahhh to go back to the 80's early 90's when the cruise docks were still gone from Gilbert. Nothing but divers.....

I have been a few times during Spring Break and you do see a few more college types but its all good. If you are looking for all the Spring Break hype by all means go to Cancun... but I have to sit back and wonder with all the talk about not going to Mexico (yes, I know they are talking about the border towns for the most part) if more people are going to end up in Cozumel for Spring Break. Just a thought.

We are diving Cozumel every year and this year we are going to be there during the Spring break in April 9-16. For diving Spring break is no problem only downtown will be more crowded with young people having fun in Carlos'n Charlie's, Senor Frogs and some other bars and restaurants.
Our group is actually looking forward to go downtown and have some fun in evenings.
