Dive House was the Fiesta Americana op for years. I guess they're back now that FA has been redone. Dive House will take good care of you, I've dived with them for 10 years.

As far as I know - IB is the only hotel that is that bad about using their dock. Christi or Dave can probably comment fully. I have a freind who tried the FA 2-3 times recently and went back to Playa Azul but his op picked him up there no problem.

Park Royal you can use Aqua Worlds dock for $8 for 7 days (they give you a wrist band), but at least they dont charge the op (that I know of).

So most are pretty open/easy going, only IB is jerky about it.

I just spent a week at Iberostar here is my two cents..... the resort is very nice, the grounds , the pool with swim up bar all really nice. I thought the food was the best I have had at an A/I in Coz, the steakhouse beef tenderloin was fantastic. It is a pricey cab ride if you feel the need to be in town much.
Snorkeling is not good here and no shore diving...Dressel divers is the dive op and I really wasn't looking forward to using them. I like to have the same DM everyday if possible, I had a different one everyday here. They are all from Europe with one Australian in the mix They dive a schedule and that's where the boat goes end of story. You dive one dive come back to the dock for SI and then do a second dive. Their boat schedule is such that you could do 4 dives a day though.
With all that being said the DM s I dove with were all great. I am still not a fan of getting a new one everyday but it worked out good. At first I didn't like the scheduled dive site idea but it wasn't a problem and you could actually set up your diving to what sites you like and skip a dive in the morning and ad one in the afternoon if you wanted to. Oh and free nitrox... I would have no problem using them again or staying at Iberostar...I do find the lack of shore diving and snorkeling a real downer though. I like to do a few night shore dives per trip.

We see other companies pick up divers, as well as other excursions (fishing, glass bottom boat, catamaran sunset cruises, parasailing, etc.) every day from the dock at the Iberostar. The hotel company like this- they get a fee for each landing.

Our transfers are part of our fare
I think if you inspect closer, you'll find the transfers are an added cost on your plan, often costing twice as much as paying cash on arrival.
