COZUMEL 12 days in May

We booked 7 nights from Newport News, VA flying with US Airways staying at Casa Mexicana flying Thursday 27 May to Thursday 3 June for 1630 total (2 of us). About the best deal I found...Expedia had some OK deals as well which were within 100.

We'll be on the same plane out of Houston if your going on the morning flight arriving CZM at 11:30. Where ya stayin? We'll be at FA. Have yet to decide on DO yet. After all my love of Aldora, I'm going a different direction this trip. Not sure if it'll be DWM or who but we want to dive Nitrox with other Nitrox divers for sure. Aldora won't guarantee all divers will be nitrox unless there are four or more divers don't want to bank on that during low season. Kinda tired of paying so much for gas and then leaving so much of it on the boat. If you'll all not on the same gas then your not going to benefit from the longer BT's. Sorry to hijack the thread.........a bit off topic.

Sorry for the delayed response; we'll be on that same flight, yessir; look for us in 24 E&F! We will be staying at Caribe Blu. We have always dove with Darwin's op (Cozumel Equalizers), and we may be again, but I've got feelers out at Blue Angel to see what kind of rates they will give us, since now Alejandra owns both the shop and the hotel.

I'm not nitrox cert'ed, so we probably won't be diving the same boats, but I'd love to at least hoist a Leon Negra or two with you sometime while we're there. 12 weeks and counting, woo hoo!

Just changed our reservations from FA to Casa Mexicana. Thought it might be a nice change to be close to town. Have been many satisfied customers of CM so thought we would give it a try. Man, can't wait to get in some WARM water. This 50 degree stuff is for the birds.

I am also in the Bay Area. Do you mind sharing how much your airfare is? When I last checked for flights, they were all in the $800 range. What is reasonable from SFO to CZM?

Our airfare from SFO to Cozumel is $600- per person roundtrip, taxes included. We do have less than desirable flight times, dual connection coming back home, but for $600- who cares? We had our travel agent book the flight, most of the time they can get cheaper rates than if we booked ourselves on the net.

Darn, I was hoping to hear that you got airfares in the $300-$400 range. I'm still getting used how expensive EVERYTHING in and from the Bay Area is.... Although, I do see $200-$300 airfares from SF & San Jose to the East Coast, but flights to everywhere else is pretty pricey....

We booked last week for a May 23 - 30 trip. Flying from Chicago to Coz with a stop in North Carolina. Airfare of 509.00 per person. Doing the all inclusive package at Fiesta Americana for 875 per person including 5 days of 2 tank boat dives with Dive House and unlimited shore diving, meals, drinks, taxes and ground transfers. Hi,

The 22nd is a Saturday, right? I think we asked about that date and the airfare was a little higher but the hotel was the same. However, if I remember correctly, it was only about 30 bucks more. I went to www.padi.com and then clicked on travel and somewhere on that page was an email link. I just emailed them and told them what I wanted (flight, hotel stay, amount of diving, all inclusive or not, etc) and they emailed me back with a quote. Hope this helps!
