That is what we have done for the past 5 years, diving with either Peace/Spectre up north or Great Escape down south. We are looking to do something DIFFERENT this year.

If you're looking for something different than the Channel Islands and Catalina, I might also consider the charter boats down in San Diego. They have a ton of cool wrecks and reef sites down there. Good luck whatever your plans are.

You might want to look at the Marina del Rey option for comparison. I don't know how frequently they run or how the times work with your planned flights.

I always book a shuttle when I'm traveling to/from Catalina via LAX and Long Beach. Shuttle runs $16 for a solo. Not sure if there is a break for two or more.
