I just completed my canister light using these cable glands and they seemed to work fine. I tested them to 47 feet with no problems.

I'm just taking ideas from other projects and trying to make my own DIY light. Do these glands look ok?

I saw that someone was using the metal glands on the plastic otter box 9000 - does that actually "stick" using JB Weld?

Does anyone have a good design for a magnetic on/off switch? I would like to minimize leak issues by limiting the numbers of actual holes that I punch into this puppy.

Thanks

Cool. I've finished my light too - but I haven't tested it at depth. What cable did you use between the canister and head? I bought the one from diveriteexpress.com

I bought a 40 ft 16 gage extention cord (deck cord) at Home depot. It was real cheap, about 10 bucks or so, and had a fairly round cross section.
Funny thing about home depot, they want more per foot for bulk cord than extension cords, so I just buy the extension and cut off the plugs.

Those glands work great.....I have taken them to about 90 feet on my homebrew light without any problems.
