Route the hose under left or under right?

The LDS said it really didn't matter. I automatically routed it under the left, as my reg is under the right. Is there a preferred convention for this?

Thanks -

K

I route mine on the opposite side to my reg. If I am using the long hose Most of the time) then it goes under the left, If I am using an octopus (which comes under the left arm) then the inflator goes under the right.

I'm not aware of any conventions

I use the stock one that DUI sent with the suit. I route it off my left post since my wing comes off my right post.

Geez, did it occur to anyone I bought a cheap drysuit that doesn't come with a stock hose? ;-0

Thanks for the responses guys.

No. Really.

:eek:ut:

Ben,
I will measure mine when I get home and see what length it is and post again.

Not all stock hoses fit everyone, due to reg & tank valve placement, chest size, drysuit valve location, etc. There can be a few inches of variance in the "optimum" fit. Inflator hoses can be had in stock lengths in 2" increments, or you can get a custom one cut fairly reasonably, if the shop is doing business with the right place.

I ordered a 30" hose - I'll use that as a starting point. Thanks for the replies.
