It is part of it. its a must but im telling you its no walk in the park. best get lots of excercise and leg workouts before heading to coron. several non-ppders in the trip got sore backs due to the extreme trek to access the dive site.

Hmmm... i've done the highest of the three peaks of Mt. Makiling but only a small backpack full of chichiria and a camel water pack...but with a cylinder??? extra challenge!!!

in that case youl be fine. there are porters who will carry your tanks but the real experience would be to carry it yourself. relish and savor the moment.

Say, after the trek, do we jump right off or is there some kind of a hike interval time? Will it be like the "breath-taking" intervals of our dive marathon?;)

after the last step of the climb is the shore of the lake, its shallow so you can take a breather here

OUr teamleader said the choices are open. I have no prob with the lake, just wondering if there are better sites than that so we can ask for a switch. Or is it a matter of someone asking us: "hu-whaaat? you went diving Coron and you didn't dive barracuda lake? oh whata shame... blah, blah, "
its no great loss...really. But it is an experience you can relate to your Doctor if you pull a muscle or sprain something:D

Oh yeah guys guess what happened in Coron? I FORGOT MY WING! i was so pissed off with myself and was scared to rent a jacket bc, was even willing to dive vintage and just use my BP. thanks god Gunter had a spare dive rite wing. how ironic is that?

diverite wing on a halcyon harness system. i wouldnt have minded just using the bp without the wing. would have made for an interesting read indeed:D

thats a simple solution on treking with BP/wings... fill your Wings with HELIUM

then it would buoy your BP like a baloon and easy trekking !!!!!

seee !!!!
