It looks like we've got a full moon coming up. Anyone know if that means it's time for a Keys coal spawn?

I think this years date is somewhere between the 25th to the 28th. I don't remember the website that has all the official info. I would check Amy Slates and Capt Slates webpage, they both never miss it.

Huomm....Had divers on the Duane last week and they indicated that the coral spawned then. They said they during the dive the coral just exploded and vis went to almost 0 with a cloud of white. I can't confirm this but from what the 6 divers on the wreck described, it would appear they were in the mist of a full blown coral spawning.

a dive buddy planning to go out with coral restoration(CRF) this week to document(photograph) the spawning was advised that peak days this month are the 24th thru 28th. they've dove the last 2 nites with limited success,,,,,,,,,
