I couldn't find anywhere else to post this... it's diving related news, but didn't want to file it away under a 'local' forum because it's news of general interest...

The news this morning is full of reports of a diver finding a collection of photographs on a German Cruiser scuttled at Scapa Flow over 80 years ago. It seems the pictures were protected in a tin container that has now corroded away and they were probably unused postcardas intended for use by the crew for writing home.
The diver reported the find to authorities who determined they were be salvageable and recoverd them: They are now being restored ashore. The wreck is, of course, protected by law.

Details at: BBC Online .

Cheers,

K.
