Contacts vs Prescription lens?

I have multifocal contact lenses so the far / near thing isn't a problem.

I stopped using contacts before multi-focal was common, I certainly never heard about or was offered that. At this point I am fine with glasses. The only thing now is occasional mask fogging...

Contacts are great for diving. A bit of a nuisance during courses with mask removals. Otherwise just fine.
If prescription allows, disposable contact lenses are preferred.

I think that is usually for people that are developing cataracts. Eye surgery is a pretty serious risk to take just for cosmetic purposes.

Yes it is but most people need cateract surgery eventually, why not get it done prematurely to fix your eye site? Once it's done you'll never have to wear glasses again. Of course age and what's actually wrong with your eyes comes in to play, but it's an option when you don't qualify for lasik.

I have a prescription SeaVision mask that I purchased when I took my Advanced Open Water over 16 years ago. I'm still using the same mask with same prescription. Mask is holding up great. I like that the lens is not the glue in type, the lens prescription is ground into the lens of the actual mask.

I love my Seavision Mask, the contacts like to randomly fall out of my eyes for some reason.
