I use Baush and Lomb (probably spelling this wrong) weeklies so if I lose one, it's not a big deal. I have found if I open my eyes underwater, I have maybe 3-4 seconds before they fall out of my eyes, with NO mask, just swimming. I wear them under a mask and have never had a problem. I've considered a prescription mask, but my vision is so poor I would need to carry around glasses or prescription sunglasses on the boat which I don't want to do. I imagine if you didn't mind carrying around glasses it would probably be better to have the prescription mask.
