Construction diver dies after being trapped underwater - WSVN-TV - 7NEWS Miami Ft. Lauderdale News, Weather, Deco
WESTON, Fla. (WSVN) -- Detectives are investigating after a construction worker, who was working in a trench in Weston, became trapped underwater and would not survive.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the construction diver was working in a trench near Indian Trace and Bonaventure Boulevard in Weston, Tuesday afternoon, when he became tangled in cables and trapped underwater.
Crews removed the diver and transported him to Cleveland Clinic in Weston, shortly before 1 p.m. However, the worker was later pronounced dead.
