Damn, I better go drain my doubles a bit then.
The neck stamps say 232 bar but they're sitting at a cosy 260 and 265 bar right now.

My 200 bar suit inflation cylinder accidentally got filled to slightly below 300 a little while back, I'll admit I did drain that one quite a bit, a 50% overfill does seem way too extreme.

Only story I have heard is:

"Yahoo tech at shop 'A' in southern Florida replaces leaking burst disk with 3600 psi disk. A few weeks later shop 'B' in cave country is filling said doubles...."

I have seen this happen, and although spectacular I wouldn't call it deadly.

I also saw an AL80 disk go from heat in the trunk of a car once. Kinda looked like a gorilla trying to punch it's way out.
