Hello all. Just started spear fishing. I like it under the water so much I want to start scuba diving as well. Also thinking it would be much better for me to go down slower to help equalize. I'm having problems with my ears.

Would like a dive doc recommendation for my ears as well as a place to get certified. I live in Middlebury CT. I fish in RI a lot. Anywhere from CT to RI for either doc or certification recommendation is much appreciated.

Anyone know Dr Alberti in North Haven/Branford?

Thank you

Jay

You should be able to equalize your ears sitting here reading this. Alot of swimmers wait too long once submerged to equalize, and the pressure of the water makes it harder. If you cant do it on dry land and theirs no sinus issues or a cold going on, Id have my ears checked by a diving doc. Consult your local diveshop, they should know one.

Thank you.
Went spear fishing yesterday. I have to hold my nose and psuh the entire way down to equaling to see a ze, I can hear the air squeeking through very slowly. I was able to equalize a couple time so I felt no pain at 20 foot. Reason I think I could do it going down slower and staying longer with scuba gear.

I think I have small tubes. Going to see Dr Alberti on the 31. Went to a reg ear doc and he checked for alergies. Poked me 400 times and found nothing.

Also wantg to swim the ocean floor is search of doormatt size Fluke.
