Tobin,

I am really interested in buying a complete rig. I was told that your return policy includes a 15% restocking fee. Is this correct? I would like to buy and have the comfort that if it does not fit, I could return without such an onerous fee.

Thanks.

The size range of the Deep Sea goodies is such that as long as you're within the range of over 3' (or so) and under 8' you won't have any trouble getting a rig that'll fit. ;)

Who told you that?

Tobin the shirts are really cool, I will be ordering a couple of those as well as another plate myself. Tobin's goods are top notch speaking from some bit of experience myself. I will be promoting them in the Great Lakes region myself. If you are ever looking for a regional sales guy let me know, I might be able to work out a deal where you could pay me in dive gear.

That's wierd! Tobin's been known to send a full set of gear across country on a hand shake. I think someone is pulling your leg!

I've checked with my staff regarding what has been said regarding "restocking fees"

This something rarely imposed, basically only when our sizing or use recommendations are ignored. By this I mean somebody who insists on ordering a Backplate that is the "wrong" size, or somebody who wants to buy a doubles wing for use with both singles or doubles, etc. As a disincentive to such combinations a restocking fee may be discussed.

I want divers to get what they need, what I have found to work best for their application, I do get some pretty wild requests. It seems that some of our staff was unclear on this policy. This has been corrected.

Although there are real costs associated with returned goods, to the best of my knowledge we have never charged anybody a restocking fee.

Regards,

Tobin

Hop Devil:
Old news, why is this tread still hanging around.

tridacna had a question, and it was as simple as that.

First I have seen of this thread... BUT after reading everything that was said on this forum and then seeing Tobin's BC in the magazine, I decided on his BP/W. Glad I made the right choice.
