My condolences to everyone... this one hit very close to home... I knew the diver... he was a friend of mine...

I desperately hope that stories like this will help make sure that I never, ever fail to run a line when I even think about using one. I hope I never lose the fear that keeps me careful and conservative in my diving. The day I dive without worrying about it is the day I should stop diving, I think.

took the words right out of my mouth.

Over confedence is the #1 killer in any dangerous activity, sometimes experience can be your worst enemy .

Our condolences to the family of the lost diver.

Dave,

My condolences to you and the family.

Having dove the Breton many times, and having been in a silt-out inside the passageways (we had a line), I know how awful it must have been.

My condolences to the family and all who were close to the lost diver.

We may may eventually understand the facts behind the event, but never the "why".

Our condolences to everyone involved. My heart always sinks to my stomach when I hear of accidents in our local waters. Please dive safe everyone.
