I have dove in worse conditions than yesterday, and was certified in 1-2ft visibility, and fell in love with California diving. However, having said that, it is all about being safe and having a good pre-dive plan that all divers adhere to.

That is one of the reasons I'm really looking forward to UTD/DIR classes that I'm taking this weekend. I can't wait to get started and gain skills that I can apply to future dives.

Just saw the post on ba_diving about someone seeing a turtle yesterday in Monterey:confused:

He posted pictures.

He also only did one dive. I have no regrets about staying home and installing my new
water softener. I do NOT go out in a gale warning.
