Hi, my wife and I will be in Little Cayman next Saturdy. What is the currnent water temp? Deciding between a 5 and a 3 mm full suit.

Just got back from Brac. Cold, windy, rainy topside and 82 degrees at 100 feet according to the Suunto D6. It should be the same on Little Cayman. Wear the thick suit. The first time I have ever been chilled in Cayman. One DM even used a semi dry and was cold. The good news was we saw a mess of sharks and countless fat Nassau groupers. You'll have an awesome time and wish it were me going. Cheers

So are you thinking that the sharks are following a grouper migration?

In winter, the problem is not usually the water temp, it is the air temp and wind when on the boat. I suggest you bring a windbreaker, or heavy sweatshirt. I have often thought, LOL, that a full length, hooded football parka would be the way to go.

WOW. If it was 82 at 100 ft., that's just a swim suit and rash guard for me. I would think a 5ml would be way overkill.

I have been known to be a wimp. In my defense, it was 82 and windy on the boat. and I was in the shade. Cheers
